We are renting out several holiday apartments on the island of Hvar and a spacious holiday house directly on the beach, as well as a modern stone house in the slightly higher situated old village of Zavala. All properties are located in Zavala, a small fishing village on the south side of the very popular and beautiful island of Hvar. Hvar is located in the region Dalmatia in the south of Croatia. Nautilus-Bay is a place of peace and tranquillity in wonderful nature by the sea and on the beach.

We were very surprised that Zavala is even... suitable for an Easter holiday. Even the journey from Split by ferry was an experience and only then the view after leaving the tunnel - the many islands in the turquoise sea glistening in the sun. The resort was easy to find. Our rooms were simple, the bathroom new, the living room spacious and the kitchen fully equipped with modern appliances. Around the house there is the typical Mediterranean vegetation to be admired, pine, olive, almond, pomegranate trees, agaves, oleanders ..... even the roses were already in bloom.
As expected, the sea was still too cold to swim, but just sitting on the beach or on the rocks and watching the waves was totally relaxing.
There are several options for walking and hiking, a path leads along the sea to the village and the harbor, hiking in the mountains is a bit more difficult, but you will be rewarded with a wonderful view.
Our conclusion: our Easter vacation was wonderful. We would like to thank our hosts, who welcomed us so warmly and willingly given us information and good tips for excursions and restaurant visits.read more

We are here for the second time in the Nautilus... and it is a real rest. A peace in the house and surroundings. The house is a bit off the beaten track. If you are looking for a clean house with guaranteed rest here is great. Short walk to the beach and a great view of the sea included. Just awesome.read more

Location f. Good near the sea, cleanliness,... dishes, lingerie all at superlative. The balconies overlook the sea, the landscape is wonderful, the only place less pleasant is the private beach with gravel, but beside the beach is a place for rest, relaxation, or reading in the shade of trees, with beds and mattresses, where it is cool, full summer.
The sociable hosts, speaking English or German, offers you the necessary information or bookings at the restaurant.

In our village there is a professional boat rental and cars can be rented on the island directly at the ferry. Rental stations for scooters and bicycles can be found in various localities.

The journey from Germany and many other European countries is easy, the Croatian motorways are excellent. You can get to the island of Hvar via the two regional ferry connections “Split – Stari Grad” and “Devenik – Sucuraj”.
